Inspired by the real-life horrors of the Bloody Benders, a family of 19th-century Kansas serial killers, the story takes a dark turn 50 years later. The peaceful lives of the Miller family, struggling through the Great Depression in rural America, shatters when their children discover a forbidden apple tree growing in a forgotten cemetery. Consumed by the fruit's beauty, they bring it home, unleashing a malevolent force. Unbeknownst to them, the apples are tainted by the vengeful spirits of the Benders. By consuming the apples each member of the Miller family is possessed, turning their love into a twisted tool for murder. Mary Miller, the matriarch, becomes the chilling leader, orchestrating a reign of terror on their unsuspecting neighbors, all to make their possession of their unwilling hosts more permanent. Only Patricia, a caring neighbor, and her grandson Billy suspect something is wrong. Witnessing the disturbing changes in the Millers, they become the sole hope for stopping the possessed family and breaking the curse. Patricia and Billy must unravel the dark history of the apples and find a way to sever the Benders' grip on the Millers before the Bloody Benders finish their demonic work.
